After completing a specialist Land Rover apprenticeship in the uk Ben moved to Guernsey where he continued working for Land Rover for a further two years. After a 3 year spell as workshop manager at a small family run garage Ben founded BG Automotive Ltd in November 2011. During the last 10 years Ben’s commitment to Growing and investing in the business has enabled us to maintain our reputation as the leading Land Rover repair centre in Guernsey.
Mike
Senior Technician
Mike joins us as a senior technician and has an extensive background within the motor trade spanning over 20 years. Mike spent some time working for Land Rover Assist in the UK where his interest in the brand first started, he has also worked on Land Rovers during his employment at a multi franchise main dealer.
Mike has previously attained a master technician certification from Audi and also has extensive experience and training in working on both the Volkswagen and Porsche brands.
A master technician certification is no small accomplishment in any brand, this takes years of experience, dedication and training and is a true testament to Mike’s capabilities as a technician. He specialises in diagnostics and has completed an air conditioning training and refrigeration handling course.
Nathan
Senior Technician
Nathan Hurley joined us here at BG Automotive in March 2020 as a senior technician. Nathan has a wealth of experience with working on Land Rovers, having completed the Advanced modern apprenticeship scheme at the Land Rover technical academy and then going on to spend years working in main dealers building his brand knowledge and diagnostic capabilities. Nathan loves nothing more than getting to the bottom of complex diagnostic issues but is equally as happy carrying out maintenance and repair tasks. He has a passion for all things car related and is currently restoring a classic vehicle that his father purchased before Nathan was born, unfortunately it isn’t a Land Rover!
