Just had a remap done by Ben Greenway at BG Automotive. Wasn’t convinced it would make much difference, but it’s like a different car. Thoroughly recommend it, best money I’ve ever spent!

Just a quick update on the Disco 3 remap after our UK trip. We did about 400 miles, 5-up with a full load and a top box (on one tank, just).Overall we got around 30mpg average (with some “testing” of performance change). Acceleration for overtaking etc. is significantly better (i.e. in a different league, it feels much safer in fact accelerating in 3rd onto a motorway).
On one 20 mile trip with mixed traffic urban/motorway I drove deliberately for economy (again with roof box etc.) and got 37mpg… impressive!
One observation was that economy was much affected by the temperature of the engine – and from cold economy wasn’t any different, but massive gains once warmed up.
All up, a great improvement and I wished I’d done it sooner.

Incredible!
I couldn’t believe the difference! As soon as I drove away from your place I could feel everything simply running smoother with any hesitation from the engine completely gone.
The need to change down everywhere – such as for corners where you have to slow down or on inclines is massively reduced.
Also when cruising along in higher gears it just pulls and pulls so smoothly – all the judder that I used to get if I didn’t change down has disappeared.
I also read up about the EGR valve – thanks for sorting that too. I assume that stopping that working has contributed to the smoothness? The best quote I read about it was that ‘You may kill a few more trees but your engine will love you for it!’
